Non violent felons shouldn't have to disclose crimes; only violent felons should for employers, military, landlords, schools, etc?

If the job in question is banking and they were a felon due to say embezzling, the probation officer would alert the employee for those non violent felons.

Thos is a tough one! Cos theft and fraud is something employers should need to know about, not just violent crimes. But also... should a person be penalised their whole lives for a crime? I mean. If a guy got tempted and stole from a employee at age 20 should he still pay for that at age 40? 50? I mean.. they more likely to get more into crime if they can't ever get a decent job to support themselves!
