Here's a thought:

Israel has roughly 9million citizens, 1200 of whom were murdered by hamas a year ago.

Hamas has stated they will do it again given the opportunity.

Hamas claims Palestine is a country.

9/11 saw 2977 Americans killed out of roughly 300million citizens.

For October 7th to be equal proportionally to 9/11 either "only" 100 people should have been killed by Hamas that day, or 35,274 American citizens on 9/11.

So now Hezbollah and Iran want to get involved launching attacks on Israel as a follow up to October 7th. An actual foreign country is launching missiles at Israel now. Russia tells Iran they'll back them and tells Israel if they launch a strike on legitimate strategic targets - power stations that allow Iran's military to function - then Russia will respond.

Either Palestine is a separate country - something history shows it's never been - in which case it should be allowed to fight its own war and Iran should stay the fuck out of it, or Iran claims it as a proxy thereby justifying their involvement.

The issue is this: if Russia can back Iran under international law then the USA and NATO should be allowed to back Israel.

Either it's a war fought between two countries so other than humanitarian aid we should all stay the fuck out, or it's terrorism at a level the West has never experienced.
