Most of Europe does not actually allow elective abortion in the same way the subject is treated here in the US, regardless of whatever cutoff they have. It is still more thoroughly regulated and gatekept by doctors, and isn't even treated as a serious political issue. Unless you are part of a demographic being targeted for genocide by sterilization in which case it's involuntary (such as what happens in China), the US has the easiest access to abortion of any country in the world.

Furthermore, the Republican platform right now is that it is a state issue full-stop, and not a federal one. That could change in the future with someone else at the top of the ticket, but neither Trump or Vance want it out of individual states' hands. I tend to agree that the federal government should have no say in that matter whatsoever beyond protecting the rights of the states to deal with it themselves. That said, it's now your state house and senate, not the US house and senate, as well as possibly your governor who influence the relevant laws, not the president.

That would be an important one for me. I couldn't imagine how fucked up our country would be if all these dirtbags were having the babies that they're aborting. I think 15 weeks is a little late, because they likely already have nervous systems so it hurts to rip them apart. Maybe require anesthesia after 12/13 weeks? Honestly, they can go up to the point of viability for all I care, as long as they use anesthesia on the baby.

I'm not thrilled about the abortion is and think there SHOULD be options, mostly because I nearly lost my ex-fiance because of a bad pregnancy and, thanks to abortion, I didn't lose her. I am against abortion being a federal issue so it has no place on the federal party ticket. I am also against abortion in my state, and think those who engage in the act should be treated and openly regarded as the murders they are.

An abortion provider should be shunned as a baby-killer, women should not be allowed to forget what they did to their own babies. Both of them need to be exiled from society and the provider should be put to death or in imprison.
