Does Trump realize that Puerto Ricans are actually Americans who vote and serve this country?

Puerto Ricans living in Puerto Rico are American citizens and many serve in the US military. However, they do not vote in Presidential or Congressional elections. They vote for their own local government.

It's a similar situation for all US territories: Puerto Rico, U. S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands and American Samoa.

Citizens from those territories can vote in the Presidential and Congressional elections if they live in one of the 50 states or District of Columbia.

Puerto Ricans do NOT vote in US presidential elections, nor any other US election. They vote in their own elections, but not US elections.

They are US citizens by decree, which can be revoked at any time. They are not citizens like natural born citizens. Same with other unincorporated territories.

They're not allowed to vote in the general election. They have no electoral votes and they don't have any represention in Senate or Congress. So it's really a half-assed citizenship. They're for the most part self governing and they speak Spanish. They're technically Americans, but they're culture is so different that it feels like a foreign country. Also, you never hear a Puerto Rican saying they're American. They always say they're Puerto Rican

Trump didn't say anything about them. Also Puerto Ricans do not vote in federal election, they have to given up being Puerto Rican and move to state to vote.
