"Your body, my choice" was being screamed by young boys in many schools yesterday. isn't that just disgusting?

I seen this a bit on social media yesterday but this morning found out that it was being said at my son's school (9, 10 and 11 years olds). They seem like such babies so I'm surprised that this was even being said... makes me realize that some parents are out here rasing their boys from a young age to be rapists and to hate girls.

Luckily I had a discussion with my sons about a month ago about protecting and respecting girls but still disgusting to hear about this stuff. Just glad that I don't have daughters and can raise my son's right

So here are my thoughts. Short answer: Yes, very much so. This kind of behavior is absolutely revolting. This is one reason (among others) why, as I said on a different post a few days ago, that I'm not gloating over Trump's win. For one thing, it's just plain bad form. But for another, I'm well aware that a lot of women are scared. Personally, I think these fears are largely unfounded, but I know they're still there and I'm perfectly willing to have a conversation with anyone about it.

As for incidents like this? I also agree that at the very least, serious questions should be asked of parents and how they are raising these boys. But also, what else is influencing them? My wife and I recently got a kitchen table and chair set from another family in a local "buy nothing" group. They had two daughters, aged 4 and 7. Both had their own tablets. Another case, I took my son out to dinner recently. The family at the table behind us? All the kids had tablets, phones, Game Boys, or whatever. They were all easily under 8 years old. I guarantee you that the boys in question here (some, at least) came from such families.

As for this Nick Fuentes character? They can say "the mask is off" all they want. But off of whom? And based on what?

Look, there's more we could discuss about this, but I'll save that for the comments or another post altogether. Bottom line though, what these boys did, yes, was wrong.

It is disgusting. That guy, Nick Fuentes, is scum. He's a proud white nationalist and will quickly find out how wrong he is when he gets his final judgement at the Pearly Gates. I think St. Peter and team have special torture plans for Nickie boy... which he'll get to enjoy for eternity. The irony is, on his X profile, the scumbag says "Christ is King" - that's what makes guys like him most evil. They actually think what they are doing, saying and promoting is what Christ wants them to do.

What's worse is what you mentioned about your son's school. There are sadly others like Nick who permit and even encourage this type of behavior. It's beyond my ability to understand how or why. But I do believe they are a tiny, tiny minority and they go against human nature. Nobody is born like him.

Unfortunately, they are loud and get the attention they desperately seek. If you look at that specific X post, there are lots of comments from folks calling him out - which is good but... I think it would be better if everyone just ignored him. You are not going to change his mind - just let him stew alone or with his other hate filled folks.

And yes, parents need to teach their kids what's right - do not leave it to chance because there is too much of this type of stuff floating around social media.

Some of them grow up, physically, socially, emotionally, and otherwise.

Some of them simply chronologically age in place.

I don't see that percentage of society's outlying radical viewpoints changing anytime soon.
