Girls, I feel like a lot of the men on this site intensely exaggerate how much society doesn’t give a damn about us. Agree or disagree?

I’ve seen many say things like we are expendable, we’re not allowed to show weakness, we’re not allowed to have mental health struggles. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous if I can be perfectly candid. Yes, people DO care about us. I have seen it in real life time and time again.

A lot of men do exaggerate, but that’s more to do with how they feel. It’s very much true that the patriarchy works against men as much as it claims to work for them. There’s a real societal pressure to be a “man” in every situation and there are indeed insecure men who feel they have to do what this imaginary standard of a man would do rather than what they want to do as individuals. However, this is still a patriarchy, and as much as clinging to these gender roles gives them a sense of control and power, that control and power is very much real and beneficial to them more than any other group in society. They’re allowed to be unhappy that society doesn’t want them to be who they truly are, but they ultimately suffer the least compared to queer men or women.

I agree. They won’t quit though. This is an outlet to complain and hate on girls for what I can tell, mostly their own problems.

Agreed. Most business, social and political leaders are men and those spheres are male dominated. Military is male dominated. Police are male dominated. Women are seen as weaker and emotional, putting cultural blocks on aspirations and what we can do.

Society doesn't hate men. It loves them.
