It's the internet... everyone gets unfairly villainized. It just depends on the space and the person doing the villainization.

Twitter for instance before it became X... You'd get punished for saying the same things about women that they were saying about men. There's a great example of where men were being unfairly villainized. The landscape had a huge change once free speech crept back into that space.

I'm kind of ambivalent about this.

As a men, we don't appreciate what women have to go through in terms of what men can be like, how debased they can be in their behaviour.

On the other hand, viewing every man is toxic and instilling that sense that there's something innately wrong with masculinity is not healthy. The ones who take on the board the most are the ones who do actually care about treating women right. It castrates them, and destroys them.

It's a fact that most of the bad things done by humans are done by men. But it's a small percentage of men, and the rest of us are no more responsible for those bad things than women and children are. The fact that women (feminists, actually) villainize all men for the actions of a few is divisive and harmful to gender relations. Sadly, dividing is just what feminists do.

The internet is hyperbole. Both genders get a bad rap here. Don't get me wrong. There are really bad people out there. But the worst people have the loudest voices typically. So they get most of the attention.
