It's like how do you live in a million dollar house make tons of money and yet they're dumb as a brick in basic daily logic and survival? I swear it's like they use their stupidity to manipulate the rest of the world.

Twp things: Peter principle, and fakery.

The Peter principle is an interesting concept which explain why some fucked up people seem to land good jobs - and fuck up a lot of people in the process.

But "fakery" is a different thing as social media has made it profitable. 95% of the shit you see people flaunting is often just leased. They are "faking it, till they make it" roping in people like you to buy their books and crap for easy advice - while they make the money.

I wonder the same thing honestly, and I wish I had a clear and definitive answer for you. But I think it's maybe because people feel sorry for them and don't see them as threat. I also think stupid people might be more rash reckless. A smart person can recognize a situation in which they could potentially make a fool of themselves, whereas stupid people don't have that, which leads to take more chances and try more things. I don't know but stupid people seem to have more luck than brains.

Could also be that smart people have higher standards, while stupid people will just do anything for money.

Failing upwards is the American way! Almost any chairperson, director, principal, superintendent, etc was universally a hack teacher and SUCKED at it. Couldn't wait to get out of classroom. I'm most heartened by the admin who had ZERO classroom experience who observed us and told us how we could do better... The best "suggestion" I ever got was keeping a coffee cup on my desk was "unprofessional" and I should "dust the blinds" too. GFY!!
