What monument or place , belongs to your country that foreigners can't imagine?

Not so hard to imagine. Just your typical Spanish architectures in a tropical island. These are specifically from the island where I live.

Fort San Pedro. This medieval fort has cannons and made in 1565. It has a pirate vibes to it. I guess it's not so hard to imagine a European castle with palm trees in it.

And this one is the Simala Shrine. Not sure if this is considered a monument because it's only built recently in 1998. But i's a very big castle like catholic church with a lot of pointy tips. It was built because of a miracle that happened.

Hmmh the human imagination is pretty damn good so it is tough.

The beauty of the Australian outback. It is far from the picturesque beauty, like Swiss Alps, but it is beautiful to the right eyes. I don't think you can imagine it outside of it.

Stromatolites. OK it is just a beach of roundish mud balls but there are so many of them. Each is a colony of cyano bacteria which developed a mudball fetish 3.5 billion years ago. Most tourist have a look and get back in their cars but it fills me with a sense of wonder of the first life on earth. We are descended from them and the oxygen we breathe is of their making.

I think that most things CAN be imagined, but many are not expected.

In my 'old' country, close to where I grew up: the ''Teutoburg Forest'' ... where my people eliminated 3 Roman legions once. Rome never tried to steal our lands again.

In my ''new'' country, close to where I live: there is a village with not one prostitute :D

Tourists don't come here, either.

In slovenia, we have have the oldest grapevine in the world at 400 years old.

We still make wine from it. Its a prety big deal here.

We also have parts of a wall built by the romans.

Because it would be unusual, and people can't imagine that this place where this monument or located belongs to such and such a country. For example, France has monuments in the Holy Land. Few people know this or can imagine it

We have an Egyptian obelisk in New York

We have two churches from France and Spain that were taken apart, shipped and rebuilt in the US. The Spanish one is in Miami, the French one is in rural northern California.

And I feel a lot of people also don't know that we have ancient ruins.
