Have you ever spoke DEEPLY with a person who altered another person's life?
A friend of mine quite a few years back fell asleep beside her baby boy and accidentally rolled over and smothered him as he slept. She appeared in court but was admonished of her crime. The relationship broke down with her partner , they split and she became addicted to drugs in attempting to self medicate rather than seek counseling , support or guidance.
She cried in my arms as I supported her in the organization of laying her son to rest and was unconsolable in her grief with every word or sentiment I could think of saying seeming empty and a meaningless platitude. There are no words to convey how I felt for her or her loss. Her body giving her son life and then removing it in less than a year later
She took her life by way of an ‘accidental ‘ non prescribed drug overdose some years after. My only hope is that now her soul can rest.
May you forever Rest in peace Jane and baby Adam 😢
That's terrifying and all too human. I'm so sorry
When I was in construction work it tended to be a rough crowd. Not always, but sometimes it was. I was doing some "piece work" in California and worked with a guy who had just gotten out of prison. He served 20 years for murder. He was also a heroin addict and stole my tools to sell for drugs, then made up a lame excuse on how he "lost" them.
But another guy was far more of a scumbag He had been in prison for rape. This was not just any rape. He and some other guys gang raped a women then thew her out a second story window when they were done with her. WTF?
OMG that's horrifying
A neighbour of mine 2 years ago backed over his own child, tore their family apart. It was 6am and he was on his way to work and the child, a little girl ran out after her father and he just didn't see her. You only think you've got problems when you hear of something like that.
I either can't or don't want to contemplate that. I'm not sure I could go on...
He drinks a lot and his wife left him, she blamed him. He's a real nice man.
Yes. There are a great number of truly disturbing people in this world.

I've talked ot those that intentionally killed but none that did so by mistake.
And people say there is no spirit, God, love, evil. There is no hell. That will wake you up to right and wrong, at least for most. Some don't have the brain to feel guilt and remorse.
there's something inherently wrong with killing another person by accident. I hope to never see it. That's why I remind myself to pay attention driving... the most likely way to kill someone. I make effort to avoid accidents and inform others.
The problem with time is... you don't have an undo button.
To be fair, I've killed people emotionally before and that I regret.
I have met three or four over the years. Causes were car and truck accidents.
I've talked with multiple people who have killed. Military, mercenary work and so on. Almost all were intentional, only a few were by accident.
Never had then misfortune thankfully.
I have seen this many, many, times with drunk drivers, street racers, and distracted drivers.
Yeah but did you bare souls while drinking? It's indescribable
I've known a few people who've killed another but I never heard them talk about it.
Not that I know of
