The only conviction he has is in a case which should never have been brought, because he was convicted of things which are legally not even crimes! His lawyers say they didn't even know what they were defending against. There are something like 47 grounds for appeal here. The judge, incidentally, is a dedicated Democrat and actually belongs to a group called, "Stop Trump!" Is he impartial and fair? I don't think so. And even if he COULD be impartial and fair, it doesn't pass the smell test. A great Federal judge I used to work for used to say, "It's not enough that something be right. It must also LOOK right!" This does not!
This is not the way American justice is supposed to work. Stalin's chief of the KGB (then called the NKVD) told him, "Give me the man, and I'll find a crime to pin on him." That's not America. You don't decide you don't like someone and then try desperately to find something to charge him with. It's been one hoax after another. The Trump-haters need to give it a rest, give us all a rest, and find something else in life to obsess about.
Is "Find me a man, and I'll find a crime to pin on him" really not America in recent years? The whole #MeToo was a brilliant case of this approach. Though it's important to note that it only applies to men. Women tend to have it easy. A certain Amber Heard-class life destroyer successfully destroyed Captain Johnny Depp's career and attempted to destroy His life as well, and she got away pretty much unscathed...
Don't get me wrong, I do respect the original ideals of the USA, it's just that contemporary US does not really live up to them. Well, the People of Goodwill in the USA managed to get soon-to-be President Donald Trump elected, I'll give You that... But the overall conduct of the USA since around the fall of USSR does not really live up to expectations for the Land of Freedom.
@CalmUntilAbused That's why half the country voted for Trump, in the hope of changing it back. Look at the Dems: They're still unable to figure out what went wrong for them. No self-introspection, no acknowldgement that people became frightened of their too-far-to-the-left radicalism, their tyrannical socialist agenda, their making ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING all about race, all the time, shutting down anyone who disagreed with them. They never seem to realize that they spoke only to each other, and listened only to each other. They STOPPED listening to the real-life concerns of ordinary people. And they always seemed to put Party above what was good for the Country.
@Keyboardkat I absolutely agree. Let's see if the fallback to conservatism will be successful. I'm really counting on it. Especially if the Republicans would hen organize some kind of conservative D-Day in Europe. I'm not sure for how lond can Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and AfD in Germany fight back the left-wing onslaught in the EU.
then*
@Keyboardkat Noting to do with a constant drumbeat of lies like "
too-far-to-the-left radicalism, their tyrannical socialist agenda"
@goaded Oh, You are so out of luck... You know, I live in Poland, where the tales of communism are still told. I know much of the history, and I've heard many of my elderly acquaintances talk about how communism felt. Thus, I can actually one-up Mr @Keyboardkat. The Demorat agenda is not just tyrannical and socialist. It's totalitarian and outright communist. I guess that would also further reinforce His claim about the "too-far-to-the-left radicalism".
@CalmUntilAbused And I'm old enough to remember the fall of the Berlin wall. American Democrats are nothing like Soviets. In most European countries they'd be centre-right.
Depends, what would be the appropriate actions for the felonies Trump has been convicted for?
German Tagesschau estimated something between a fine he has to pay and up to 4 years in prison.
For what exactly? He didn't committ any crime while thug Jordan Neely was free to roam around assaulting women on the subway 4 four years.

34 guilty verdicts. en.wikipedia.org/.../Indictments_against_Donald_Trump Being an adjudicated rapist (yes,"in "common modern parlance"), defamer, mishandler of national security documents, liar to federal agents, and insurrectionist.
@goaded none of these are crimal convictions. And the fact that these were actually brought to trial was a major part of why Trump won.
Yes they are, 34 criminal convictions in a New York court!
None of the others got to trial because of millions of dollars worth of delaying tactics by Trump's lawyers and a Trump nominated judge and his "justices" on the supreme court.
If he'd got in front of a jury he would have been found guilty of all the other crimes as well.
@goaded and what were the 34 criminal convictions for exactly?
To the public the lack of any real trial and the obvious witch hunt, the public already don't trust the legal system seeing as how a blood thirsty prosecutor like kamala will offer you a plea deal if you admit guilt or life if you pleaded your innocence regardless of evidence or guilt.
He's a guy that prowler new yorks subway system assaulting women and wasn't punished by new yorks soft on crime DA
@goaded well as many black men will testify you can trust the court system and even Biden has confirmed the legal system can be influenced by politics. If president Biden doesn't trust the legal system why would average people.
@goaded really because Biden doesn't even trust the legal system, he said so. What were thd 34 charges for? Any American who has had dealings with the irs knows the deal or been brought to court knows that if you are unlucky enough to get the wrong judge and reptile like kamala will get you jailed innocent or not.
@goaded "Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter. From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted. Without aggravating factors like use in a crime, multiple purchases, or buying a weapon as a straw purchaser, people are almost never brought to trial on felony charges solely for how they filled out a gun form. Those who were late paying their taxes because of serious addictions, but paid them back subsequently with interest and penalties, are typically given non-criminal resolutions. It is clear that Hunter was treated differently.
The charges in his cases came about only after several of my political opponents in Congress instigated them to attack me and oppose my election. Then, a carefully negotiated plea deal, agreed to by the Department of Justice, unraveled in the court room – with a number of my political opponents in Congress taking credit for bringing political pressure on the process. Had the plea deal held, it would have been a fair, reasonable resolution of Hunter’s cases. "
@goaded he admitted how those in power can use the legal system to persecute their political enemies. He knows because the Democrats have been doing that for over a decade
@goaded not the case. Just look af the 34 nonsense fake felony counts from new York court
Oohhh YES, yes he should. That piece of shit is so guilty of so many things. He’s a criminal asshole through and through.

Perhaps not for those particular 34 felony convictions, but it really ought not to be unconditional release, in my opinion.
He should certainly have gone to prison for the documents and for trying to steal the presidency from the people of the United States.
@Quigly "Most notably, after being given multiple chances to return classified documents and avoid prosecution, Mr. Trump allegedly did the opposite. According to the indictment, he not only refused to return the documents for many months, but he also obstructed justice by enlisting others to destroy evidence and then to lie about it. In contrast, Mr. Biden turned in classified documents to the National Archives and the Department of Justice, consented to the search of multiple locations including his homes, sat for a voluntary interview. and in other ways cooperated with the investigation."
Hur Report.
he should go to jail just for the sake of going to jail. in a sense, he's lived in jail for a long time in his golden prisons... but I know that isn't what you mean. Napoleon went to jail. So did Hitler. Clinton hasn't but should be there for insurrection.
I agree with @goaded, except how the hell did he wiggle his way out of that and could most people wiggle out of it? The world is not fair or just. The world is about power. That is crystal clear. That's why we all need Jesus and his bailout offer, you really don't want to stay here even if you could. It's corrupt to the gills.
To be fair to Trump, he was attacked non stop for 4 years, the system itself is corrupt. To allow that Russia BS to go as it did is enough for me to let him walk into jail, waive, and say goodbye with a middle finger salute. And that is what the left is going to get for the next 4 years... which is why they are paying hommage with $.
@goaded Russia Hoax, leading an insurrection to overthrow Trump behind the scenes. She went way beyond what Trump ever thought of doing... she put it into practice as the head organizer. I recommend a congressional investigation to affirm and allocate appropriate punishment. I do believe such actions could warrant firing squad.
Oh, come on, read the Mueller Report, there were dozens of interactions between the Trump campaign and Russia and dozens of case of obstruction of justice. Contrast that with Benghazi which the Republicans banged on about to get Clinton's poll numbers down.
Then read the Jan 6 committee report and the indictments against Trump, the cases against the fake electors in several states.
Turns out, if you spend millions you get to run out the clock on justice without ever having to appear in court.
Hitler didn't go to jail;he and his bride of a few days, Eva Braun, committed suicide in the Fuhrer bunker Apr.30,1945, eighteen days after FDR's stroke death and two days after his boy Mussolini's once-adoring compatriots hanged him and his wife upside down and kicked out their teeth
@beefcakebradybatson Sweet Jesus! Hitler went to jail before he rose to high level of power. That's where he wrote Mein Kampf. In his opening remarks he talks about it. I hadn't read it.
archive.org/.../2up
I know Hitler spent nine months in prison in 1925 for the laughably comical "Beer Hall Putsch," which involved the German trailer trash version of the Jan.6,2021 "insurrectionists,' but at least Hitler's henchmen had a FEW weapons, though they were laughably out-gunned by the cops.
@beefcakebradybatson ok good. A lot of change in the world probably starts in beer halls:) Imagine that.
May I have whatever you're drinking or smoking, lightbulbVERYDIMIFNOTOUT27?
I know you want him to... but with the crimes Obama and Biden did in comparison to Trump's so-called "crimes" that they wouldn't even bother to charge me for... let logic sink in. You're comparing murderers and extortion artists to a guy who had bad lawyers who tried to turncoat under pressure. If we applied the same pressure to your "side" it's not going to end well. ... and I think you fucking know it. I know you know. I don't think you're stupid, and I remember you before you went down this TDS wipe out train... you were normal. It's time to come back to us dude. You never belonged with them. Nobody did. You were all lied to by the "Trusted News Initiative" ... look it up.
no. is he immoral? yes. aren't we all? yes. i think that all people, if looked into would agree that they have sinned. i don't think we mean to do it but we are human and flawed. we aren't always thinking about the consequences and how it affects others. i'm not saying it's right, but i'm not saying that people should be locked in a box either. there is nothing that suggests rehabilitation works. and if you disagree with that... let me lock you in a box for 45 years and only let you out to play with people that will murder you for a high.
As my father would have said,"Any excuse is better than none, right, Trumpsters?"
@beefcakebradybatson are excuses reasons? by your definition i suppose
Excuses for Trump's criminality abound from his acolytes.
@beefcakebradybatson at least he's not a biden right?
No because POTUS job is more important than him serving his sentence NOW.
Come January 20th, 2029 he should report directly to prison... If the Big Macs & sloth haven't worked their magic yet...
I want credit for this one guys! C'mon, you know my answer surprised you!
No, all charges should be dismissed. The whole thing was just to interfere with the election and they failed. It just makes democrats look even stupider that they already look.
Not at all. These charges were completely fraudulent. All misdemeanors and passed the statute of limitations. There was also conflict of interest all over the place.
Oh, but the only conflict of interest the Demorats care about is when someone's interests conflict with their own...
But yeah this was bullshit anyway and I don't care what kind of crap the Democrats claim. They have lost all credibility with me and I hope as an entire party they are wiped out of political existence, non-violently. I hope the Republicans who want to suck the dick of corporations and act like Mitt Romney or Dick Cheney are erased from political life, non-violently.
This is no longer left or right, this is the people versus the deep state. Now MAGA has a liberal faction within it that wants to have immigration be easier for those who show competence and the hard line right wingers are against all immigration for the moment and want to propose a 20-year moratorium for immigration. I don't agree that because a small amount of immigration based on merit is fine but obviously the massive flooding needs to stop.
What would the point? To make him even more famous? His cell would be a Suite, and running as President from imprisonment would be a historic first.
if Trump did get jail time, would it make you feel better that JD Vance is in charge?
will you finally be able to let your TDS go to rest now that orange man is behind bars?
then who else should the country then? the Democrats who lost the election?
The DA’s and judges should get the jail time. I suspect that Whomever is in charge in DC. Will have Biden pardon all of the Democrats before he officially leaves office. That were involved in trying to get Trump off the ballot!
ABSOLUTELY NOT!! WHAT FOR? JOE should get jail time!! HE'S a fucking crook!!!
Oh! Right! You got the democrat version where he's now a saint! Or, were you just asleep the past 4 years?
He stole truckloads oof confidential documents that he's NOT allowed to have and left them in places where ANYBODY could get them!!
He took money from someone because he was VP and had someone else fired FOR that money.
He got filthy rich from his son's dirty dealing, some of which was based on the act that his dad was VP.
He opened the borders and ruined the country.
He cheated his way into office.
ANY ONE of those things would've been MORE than enough to you to have Trump burned at the stake if he did any of them!!
I'm talking about Biden. Why can't you keep up?
Not for that case. But for the election interference and stealing classified documents, yes.
yeah like every politician before him and probably like every politician after him. but let's face it, it's never gonna happen.
is till don't know and it doesn't matter.
buzzwords nobody ever heard before never matter. they are just a tool for narcissists to artificially make themself more interesting than they are.
yeah as if any president ever cared for that. there's no consequences to their actions unless some nutcase goes ahead and murders them.
don't go out and google the 1 or 2 presidents in history this actually mattered for. i don't care for the rare fringe cases. i'm talkingin general.
i am saying that it is extremely rare that politicians are held accountable for their bullshit and that probably 99% of them should have went to prison but they never do. that's why i said let's face it, it's never gonna happen. i'm not saying they "shouldn't" held accountable. they just aren't.
nope. what you did there is called "a strawman argument". attacking a position that your conversation partner actually doesn't hold.
i'm not saying he shouldn't be punished if he broke the law. i'm saying that he's rich and powerful. rich and powerful people don't go to jail. they pay the fine and then move on. that's what's gonna happen.
and i voted yes in the poll. you and the word "logic" have a LOT of catching up to do.
nope. at no point did i say that and i actually several times said the exact opposite of that in here if you actually go back and read what i said instead of making my arguments for me and then outraging about these arguments i never made xD
I grew up in NYC. The laws that they used to create a case was used as normal practice in the Real Estate business. People hide things in their corporations. If you single out one person to attact, that is lawfare.
Anywhere else he would have
For a bullshit court case? Of course not. But you can keep hoping.
Because none of alleged crimes were felonies and had passed the statute of limitations. NY gov changed the rules just so trump could be charged. So bullshit.
@seeyounexttuesday Next thing You know, they will pass a law that forbids soon-to-be President Donald Trump from breathing and charge Him with breaking that law next time He's in New York. Truly the fathers of toxic cults and illegal lawfare (I hope You get the reference)
That’s a federal law, dipshit. He was tried in NY state.
right, it’s not a crime to pay hush money. Thanks for proving this was a bullshit case.
I see you can't dispute it. Good try though
No it isn't.
So like if someone paid to dig up lies about a political opponent and then hid that accounting as another expense that would be wrong, correct?
she absolutely did.
Riiiiiight.
We know there's 2 tiers of justice with the shitlibs in charge. But their reign is over. Back to MAGA
It was under Biden. What you're scared of what precedents you've been cheering?
No, clearly explaining yours bullshit.
He's too old and white to get jail time, though.
Convicted for politically motivated charges, prosecuted by a legal system weaponized against him by Democrats? Nope.
Not jail time. PRISON time. Inciting a riot, violating laws regarding national secrets, and many other things.
Every single President needs jail time if life was truly fair.
But he can't now, as tradition mandates Presidents can't be jailed or imprisoned for crimes while in office.
He isn't in office yet
@dustybiker2 He will be in ten days.
Not if congress stops it
@dustybiker2 They shouldn't. You elected this POS, live with the consequences !!!
I didn't vote for the dipsh*t
@dustybiker2 But so many did !!!
Yup
And its still reversible
The sentence has no jail time. The judge will be setting a dangerous precedent regarding gag orders though.
Nope, democrats deserve it for attempted assassinations because those orders came from the top
People still believe they were dems?
They hired them, killary and Kamala kill again, oooh KKK another democrats institution
And then there is reality...
I don't think he has been charged with anything that has jail time has he?
For what. Trump committed no crimes.
@dustybiker2 I realize we had a Star Chamber trial that would make Stalin proud. However, Stalin convicted many innocent people and that trial was just like Stalin's trials; that is, just a show trial to convict an innocent person without any evidence.
PRISON actually would be more appropriate.
Nope, he shouldn’t.
Almost every politician deserves that.
No crime was committed
Terribly worded question.
Fuck, just let it go man.
Of course
