Do you feel like 90s kids are the forgotten middle child?

As a 90s millennials, I feel like when I was in my 20s, I was being told millennials are all in their 30s now and having kids, own houses etc. And now turning 30 being told that millennials are all middle aged now. It seems like 90s kids are forgotten about - lumped in with either elder millennials or elder gen z.

Most 90s kids had childhood and teens nothing like 80s kids or 00s kids.

I was born in 84. I'm kind of stuck in between eras. I learned computers on an apple II. No Internet until 3rd or fourth grade. Cell phones were huge and really cumbersome. Cable TV was really fun. Lots of creative shows. Mtv had music videos and some fun shows like remote control and liquid television. Nickelodeon had different shows every half hour to an hour not 5 hours of SpongeBob. Are you afraid of the dark was awesome. Vinyl records were for old people. People were much more frank and not walking on eggshells. We went through a lot of trauma. Columbine, OJ, phil Hartman, Lorena bobbit, Oklahoma city, Monica Lewinsky, . Bullying in school was normal and ignored by staff. The Republican party was actually somewhat decent. Not like the maga freaks now. Porn was hard to get. A playboy was like gold. A few pictures lasted us for months. Today it's so easy to get. Kids can't get off today without choking themselves wearing a bugs bunny costume. Being a slut used to be a bad thing, now it's the norm. Music was kinda bleh. Early 90s wasn't so bad but it was terrible after that. Being gay or trans in school was a death sentence. Love existed. There was hope for the future. Now we live in that future and it's horrible.

Starting to think anyone who uses the term "millennial" should just be shot, as my patience for that word has expired entirely. Gen Y is fine.

But I'd guess the folks born in the 90s are the last ones capable of sanity, as nobody born after the year 2000 has anything to contribute to the world.

I don't know what you’re on, but millennials are indeed middle-aged. Just because you personally aren’t doesn’t make you not a millennial, it’s about averages. Don’t be so sensitive

I was born in 94, but I can hardly recall the very first years of my life. My school age years were mainly in the 2000s. I think I started Kindergarten in year 99 or 00. I mainly identified more with genZ I guess, but found an even better term: Zillenial.

@NicholasRedone I was a late bloomer. I didn't get my first girlfriend until age 29. I am her first serious relationship as well. We are now engaged, but at the age of 30, I am in a different, delayed spot than I wanted I guess. I have an apartment

a lot of the biggest tragedies occured while we were growing up such as The Challenger blowing up in 1986, the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995 all the way till the undisputed one September 11 in 2001.

it felt like they were trying to scare us all into not wanting to grow up. lets not forget the economy fucking up in 2003 when bitchass Bush started that fucking war on terror which delayed our opportunity for most of us to enter the job market
