I believe the Quran (Islamic book) says cremation is abuse to a human body.

If a person asks to be cremated then I personally would say it isn’t abuse. There are people who ask to be cremated though. There are people who have certain illnesses and know their death is near and actually ask to be cremated.

Abuse would be a strong word to use for the situation considering the person is dead and their soul in so longer in the body, what gave that body any value was the soul, I'm Christian and the way Christianity explains death is that from dust you were made and to dust you shall return, no matter how a person dies that remains that way, cremation, buried, eaten by something, it will all decompose and desolve into dust and even if there was a way around that, it wouldn't matter cause your soul has moved on.
