The EU parlament isn't necessary in my eyes and if we got rid of it we could delete all the negatives and keep mostly the positives of it.

Countries used to have written agreements with each other for centuries where they wrote down certain things, that would be followed. There wouldn't be a necesity for extra politicians who are clearly not fit for their role or what the people want. And its clear as day that the EU parlament is overreaching in what they do.

That is nonsensical. The way Europeans used to do their diplomatic negotiations is with guns. That is not because they are inherently warlike or any sort of nonsense like that, its just how the geopolitics of Europe works. A land divided up like that and with hose population groups will inevitably result in war. The EU was devised as a means to re-arrange the parameters so that instead of causing war, it caused diplomatic and economic collaborations. If you remove the EU then you remove the reason to collaborate which will result in a return to war.

I also find it funny that you pretend that the EU parliament is somehow separate from the nations they represent. They are not. The EU parliament is the elected officials of a nation whos job it is to represent their national interests first and foremost. If you think they are overreaching then that is because that COUNTRY is overreaching which you might image would look very different without the EU there to keep it civil.

Nope, EU parliament is doing exactly this negotiating agreements and thats really important.

Is it perfect, no.

But its still one of the best accomplishments in the history of the continent.
