I'm getting a lot of replies from people who seem to think Taiwan doesn't belong to China. it does. it's a fake puppet state of America.

The Chinese Communist Revolution was a social revolution in China that began in 1927 and culminated with the proclamation of the People's Republic of China (PRC) in 1949. The original government fled to Taiwan and still is the government that was in place in China before the revolution. It is the legitimate government of China. If anything, China belongs to Taiwan. And you do not know anything about history if you think Taiwan is a fake puppet state of America.

nothing you said there was news to me. the original government of China had kings and queens. there is no original government. and the US funded the communists, so it's kind of crazy to now consider them the enemy. but like always the Us is schizophrenic and backwards.

U. S. forces flew tens of thousands of Nationalist Chinese troops into Japanese-controlled territory and allowed them to accept the Japanese surrender. The Soviet Union, meanwhile, occupied Manchuria and only pulled out when Chinese Communist forces were in place to claim that territory. Sp the US supported the NC troops to retake territory from the Japanese. The communist funding was by the Soviet Union, not the US.

I think the longterm policy of the United States has been to stay ambiguous about it. But it would probably not even be necessary. Just give Taiwan all the weapons they need, so that Red China could experience their own „Ukrainian scenario“ should they ever get too greedy.

The easier solution would be to just allow Taiwanese people to come to America, nuke the Taiwan industrial complex, and stop all trade with China. Then all chip manufacturing would be in the USA, China would have a worthless rock and would be jolted into a Great Depression. Much of their population would starve, leading to wide scale revolts and the political and population collapse of China.

Yes. We should defend it military. Too bad Chinas been wargaming this for decades and has a plan to take it in under 6-8 hours and completely fortify it in another 6-8 hours. It's a moit point. It will all be over and too dangerous to try and dislodge the Red Army by the time ASEAN even gets confirmation of the attack.

No, the problem can be solved by using sanctions. China is having tough sledding these days and would have a tough time if the US put a 200% tariff on their junk.
