As youngsters we are taught morals as black and white, but as we mature we are faced with situations that are grey and the longer you live the more grey tones you perceive. The more in control of your life you are, the more opportunities you have to say yes or no and maintain that black or white perspective. If you become dependent on others, your choices become attenuated. You may be forced to step into the less moral zone to live up to your obligations. Chronic illnesses will provide you with that opportunity. One of the toughest questions to deal with originates from the worlds perspective regarding how to be successful. Get a good education, get a good job, work hard and make yourself invaluable. Certainly the best way to pursue anything. But don't be surprise if it does not work out. Save some time for selfish activities, Remember you are working for you.

Yes and no. It depends on your definition.

I believe the majority of people individually do good and evil things every day, but I don't think that necessarily means they border good and evil. Mistakes happen, and there is forgiveness. But, of course, I'm coming at this from a religious perspective, which is not common.

If you are following the Blake Lively thing, she purposefully tried to destroy a man's career for no real reason other than her own selfish narcissistic need for fame and fortune as well as her butthurt at rejection and to feed her husband's jealousy and insecurities.

I don’t think it’s like that. If we constantly shove everyone into a specific morality, it’s just a game of “who’s better and worse?” It’s not bordering the line, it’s existing in the middle of a massive, football-field sized gray area that’s white on one end and black on the other.

Yeah, because humans are naturally selfish and self serving.. We learn to be more selfless over time and have care and compassion for other people, but that selfishness never goes away..
