I wonder if the decline in western nations birth rates is somehow related to this?
What are your thoughts?

Tracking sometimes doesn't work. I'm not a proponent of BC but if you are going to use anything, I'd consider the copper IUD or condoms (male or female). As with any BC, there is a possibility of adverse reactions and not preventing pregnancy 100%
However, the aforementioned wouldn't affect your hormones compared to the shot, patch, pills and hormonal IUD (Mirena, Skyla, Liletta, Kyleena). Each woman is different though and some are not comfortable with an IUD therefore careful consideration is always recommended.
Aside from societal views on having kids, one also has to consider many women having more reproductive health issues after the industrial revolution compared to other women in other countries. Pesticides, foreign materials, additives, colorants, mold and many more issues can directly impact reproductive and overall health.
I was always irregular with my periods ever since I moved to the USA and was told I'd never be able to have kids. After losing weight and implementing a vitamin regimen to address deficiencies, my labs came back a couple of years ago and my DC was happy to tell me I could become a mom after all <3
All medicines can cause issues but these are well documented and you'd doctor explains them to you when you go on the pill. But these affect very few people. Millions of women take the pill and only a tiny percentage have issues.
Birth decline is due to a change in social attitudes. Women don't see it as their duty to churn out a dozen kids and more. We can't because most men's wages won't cover it anymore and that many means we can't work ourselves. If you want more babies bring in better maternity leave and cheaper day care centres or increase men's wages so we can stay at home and pop them out one by one.
I do. It fucks them up. You know it makes them get with men that they find completely unattractive when they get off it? That's fucking wild man. For perspective, that's like one of us dudes permanently being drunk and fucking fat chicks. ... and I only fuck fat chicks when I'm drunk. Sober me wouldn't even rape her.
YES , its extremely harmful , changes personalities , escalates difficulties , really dangerous sht , as all script drugs are.. look at people who think antipsychotics for anxiety are okey = No they are not.

Of course the use of contraception has led to a decline in birth rates, it litteraly stops women that are taking it from having children. It takes about a year sometimes for a woman to be fertile again to get pregnant after she comes off contraception. Birthrate are falling because women in the west are having children later in their 30s or not at all.
I had to switch birth controls because one was killing my sex drive, another was making me depressed. The one I'm on now is good but it blew up my ass to like huge. If I wasn't on contraception I'd have about 5 babies by now.
It is harmful but I don't know if it would damage your chances of having kids if you stopped taking it.. I tried the patch for 3 months and I constantly felt nauseous so I decided never to take birth control again. I just use condoms and had no issues plus if we didn't use protection I always get a Plan B pill, unless I know 100% he didn't cum inside. I never got pregnant like that so no point in using it if it will mess up my hormones or make me feel sick.
It influences more than just her birthcycle, if she's suddenly no longer attracted to her partner, depressed, etc it can be worth quitting and then seeing if those effects change.
I found this a fascinating talk on it :
As for the birthrates, yes but not for the reason you think. Its not that girls are sterilizing themselves permanently its that birth control makes kids optional. In an ever increasingly unaffordable and authoritarian world I'm not sure I want kids either. I think a lot of people think like that, holding off hoping for better times.
Birth control does not usually cause reproductive problems, rather it can actually be a treatment for them instead.
If you're worried about negative side effects, you should advocate for more research and funding for women's reproductive Healthcare, so that safer alternatives for common issues can be found and made available.
It been multiple decades since we know those are dangerous and shouldn't be used at all. In France they offer options without hormone but. they're still dangerous and all lower fertility in women.
Though this is to be noted the use of phone and computer also lower fertility in men if the phone is put in pocket and computer put on lap.
It's often used to treat cancer.
It controls heavy bleeding and a number of other life threatening conditions aside attempting to block pregnancy.
It can cause heart issues and a number of other serious concerns. It really depends on the woman.
A woman need a doctors exam to find her own best options.
I agree that it’s different for different women.
They are not all the same either
Yep it caused my mom to get breast cancer so i refuse to ever take it again. If other women wanna take the risks then that's on them but to me and my family it's not worth the risks
Sorry to hear about that.
I have been on it for years to regulate my period and as a consequence hormones that drive it.
Never had an issue and get yearly checkups and consultation with my gyno.
No, hormonal birth control is not inherently harmful. If you did 10 minutes of research, you would see that. The pill is not contributing to infertility outside of the woman taking it.
I know what the medical community says on it, I’m not making a statement on it either way.
Sure you’re not
Because my sister took birth control pills for over 10 years, she had an extremely difficult time getting pregnant when she was actually ready to create a family. It’s a big problem.
I’ve heard women say that many times.
No, I don't. Women have been using it for 60 years. Yes, a few experience side effects, but that's going to be true of any medication. If birth control were generally harmful we would know it by now..
it influences whom women are attracted to and it explains why so many marriages and relationships breakdown before and after using birth control
"I wonder if the decline in western nations birth rates is somehow related to..." birth control?
Why?
That's the point!
After decades of research, if it would cause major issues we would know by now
Rhythm method isn't foolproof enough for me. Condoms I guess.
Yes. Hormonal birth control is a big problem. It fucks with women's bodies.
For some women I can't take it because it causes chest pains and mood Swings for me but I also have a lot of hormonal issues
I’m thinking about getting back on the pill
It can cause breast cancer or blood clots if used for long periods so yes.
I luckily never had a problem but it’s a risk.
nope I've had the hormonal iud since I was 11 only side effect is no period
Yep. It's causing way more problems in society than just altering women's biology.
Yes, I hate how much they push it too! I have fibroids and they push it so much.
Irregular period make it nearly impossible and even calendar counting is imperfect
It factually is. It's not a matter of opinion
Depends on the person’s health condition
Of course.
