I wouldn't be so certain that the US military could win anything. After all. This is the military that has literally lost every war. It's been engaged in since world war II. That is not exactly a good track record.

If you look at why these wars are fought, it's not about winning vs losing like its a football game, there's an overall strategic geopolitical goal usually to destabilise the region. You got to look at how these wars benefit US foreign policy and US corporations to understand why the purpose and result of these wars.

We had to agree with partition with north Korea. There was no war in Kuwait to speak of. We were asked to leave Iraq after many atrocities.

Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan were all losses.

@msc545 north & south Korea was partioned before war broke out. That's how the us got involved in the first place as North Korea invaded with weapons supplied by the Soviets, they lost.
The 1991 gulf War was fought to push the Iraqi army out of Kuwait after it invaded. The result was the complete annihilation of the iraqi military in the field.
Most atrocities committed in Iraq were by foreign Islamist groups. We were asked to leave then they begged us back to fight ISIS.
Vietnam was a war fought as part of the overall Cold War. The US meet its goals in Vietnam.
The Iraq war saw the invasion and overthrow of sadam Hussain and Iraqi money from oil was used to pay us companies for the rebuild, security and weapons. A massive victory.
War in Afghanistan was fought to attack Alqueda which it succeeded in doing and Alqueda does not really exist anymore. The taliban left Afghanistan for 20 years and when the us pulled out we left them weapons because they are extremists so they will torment their neighbours who include Pakistan, Iran and China.
