What was it, and why did your perspective change?

I used to believe spirituality was a load of horse shit, a manipulation tactic to get people to pay money to tax shelters like cults and churches and temples. That it was all a blatant lie to make you feel things and give yourself over to a “higher power” that would just ruin your life.

Now I know that spirituality is a part of our humanity that we need to care for in the same way we care for our physical and mental health. We have a need for spiritual health too, we need something to have faith in, give us hope, because sometimes that’s the only reason you can keep going at all.

Yes that the US was the greatest country in the world was an opinion I use to believe in. That began to change around 2015 when this ignorant, womanizing, lying cheating piece of dog shit decided to get into politics. Now I think we are close to the top of disgusting major countries in the world.

I used to buy the propaganda about Israel's need to exist and that they were defending themselves against irrational antisemitism. After doing extensive research, I've done a complete 180. It's the people of Palestine who have been under brutal, sadistic attack for over 77 years and some Arabs were merely trying to help them. The Zionist leadership brought it on. There was no antisemitism.
I now have the same opinion of Israel as I do for the German Nazis, Bolsheviks, Mao and Pol Pot.

I used to trust the medical establishment. Now, not so much.

Life experience and lessons has obviously red pilled the shit out of me though. I'm one of those dummies that just had to learn the hard way that everything Disney movies taught me was a fucking lie.

That smokers & vapers are disgusting and I’ll never be one. My parents smoked during my childhood and I hated it. But then I became a smoker when I was 17, though managed to quit when I was 22. And then I picked up vaping 6 months later. But as of last week, I've managed to quit that too. I don’t hold such a strong negative view on people with nicotine addiction anymore, having been through it myself.

When you don't look in people for things you want to like and be attracted to, you won't find it even in 'highest standard'. From psychological perspective we all overestimate ourselves while we belittle a little bit others. At some extent it's normal and good for mental health, but when this behavior goes wild we get a serious problem with finding people we want to spend time with. It's like some people love to spend some time with kids and others are after 20 second tired.

Blood is thicker than water. Family is just as likely if not more so, to take advantage of you and take you for granted. Family is what you make with whoever actually loves you. You'll know who actually loves you when they keep respect you and keep that same energy with you that give them.

I once believed that we should get rid of ALL guns. In a way, I still do and have no desire to ever use one but, I've since seen how, as long as they exist, it's more important to have one than to not.
If someone that has one comes up to you intent on using it against you and you have none, what are you gonna protect yourself with? Sure, there's WAYS to do it without a gun but, what are your chances against someone that has one pointed at you?

Used to believe that everything we are taught by the "system" is all there is.

Now I know for a fact that what we are told and taught is a fraction of what happens or has happened. We are lied to about history, about science, about technology, about politics, about religion, pretty much about everything.

There is way more truth that is kept out of our lives by the "system".

In fact, the "system" is a perpetual pathological liar.
