The people who brought me and my sister into this world. And the keepers of the cold and forgotten place I grew up in. They built a business out of broken children, made cruelty to look like charity all the while our pain and suffering lined their pockets and "prayers".

I forgave them through my actions but I can't forget my past. I went back last year to the same halls that would echo my sobs and I heard laughter there for the first time in forever. They share that same quiet ache in their heart I did but they have some respite now that the original proprietors are... gone now.

The past loosened its grip on me. Carrying bitterness is like drinking poison hoping someone else will die instead. So I directed that bitterness to end it all for good.

I want to let them stitch their silence into whatever they exist as now.
I guess I became the love I was denied, the care I longed for by offering it to those who are where I was then.

There’s a now-annoying person in my life I have to find a way to forgive (again) for my own peace. He DOESN’T deserve it and keeps hurting my feelings very callously, so I no longer want closure or anything like that. I just want him to stay away and let me heal.

To help, I remember the Aesop’s fable about the bull and the gnat. The gnat keeps annoying the bull, desperate for attention; finally he complains that the bull is ignoring him. The bull answers that there’s no reason for him to pay attention to an insignificant gnat.

(So I have to ignore my gnat.)

I need to forgive my ex boyfriend but he definitely doesn’t deserve it !
He dogged me out for 2 weeks straight and then I found out the reason why is bc he was cheating on me. He didn’t even have the balls to tell me himself. Then he blocked me bc I wanted to talk about it. He told me, in a text only, to leave him alone and that he was blocking me… a real shit head 💩💩💩

i think i can forgive my dad at some point, but my mom did A LOT of fucked up things to me growing up and her having NPD makes it hard to deal with her despite trying to do better now. so i don't see it ever happening realistically
