I believe in everyone has a choice in this life and what you want to do / spend it is up to you alone, especially if you aren’t hurting anyone else & striving to be the best version of yourself that you can be.

Like with me, I’m in a ‘traditional’ relationship me being a straight white man with my girlfriend so I’m living that life. Doesn’t mean everyone has to align, idc what you do in this life as long as you are happy. Happiness is different to everybody, so whatever you make out of this life I hope it gives you happiness.

But yes, there is nothing wrong with "traditional" gender roles, as long as the family system is working. The problems arise when you have disparity and disunity as a result. I know plenty of households where the male is the earner. But the wife usually does her own side gig, on the side to boot.

Yes, but it's not for everyone. For me, it's the best model for a happy, healthy, lasting family. I think modern "values" have contributed to the decline in nuclear families, and thus society.

Our ancestors had a lot of wisdom and they did stuff that had worked for eons. That said, you don't force anybody into a role. It has to be a natural fit of two people working together. Two people who understand what's important in the relationship. Also a guy shouldn't treat a girlfriend like a wife. A lot of people make the mistake of skipping the whole trust building stage and giving 100% to a woman (or man) who has only earned 2%. Foolish.

Yes, it works for us. She is better with the kids, cooking and the house and I am better with making money, fixing things and investments.
