Living like a shit in the richest country in the world is better than living like a queen in the pooriest country?

According to Asian philosophers living rich in a poor country is better than living poor in a rich country. Do you agree?

This is pretty much the comparison between being American in America and being American in Vietnam. The American dollar is worth approximately 26,000 Vietnamese dong. With my meager savings in Vietnam I am a millionaire easily, and that will afford me a lot of luxuries that other Vietnamese people can’t afford. Would I want to do this? Not really, the quality of life in Vietnam is not the same as it is in the US and any job I get would be essentially worthless compared to what I get paid here. I could easily live that life of luxury but the quality between these two nations wouldn’t necessarily be the same and it would still be heavily impacted by American politics and economics. So yeah, I’d rather be impoverished in the US than a millionaire in Vietnam.

My wife's from a poor Asian country and it's good and bad. I can eat out every meal at a nice restaurant, live in a really nice place, and never watch my spending because cost of living is so cheap. If you are willing to eat local, the food is fresher and much healthier. The downside is there are none of the first world conveniences that I'm used to and EVERYTHING takes longer

The opposite is true , the wealthy here live like absolute Kings / Queens and its generally family money and yields incredible power with the lifestyle , a genuine hi - so in any part of Asia lives brilliantly.
