How do people without cars in America go grocery shopping? I ask because the country is huge. What do you do when you have a craving in the middle of the night? Can you call and have them bring it to your door, even if it's just for a few snacks?

As you have observed, America is huge and sprawled out. So, you basically have to have a car. That being said, grocery stores are never that far away. I could easily Uber to one or have food delivered. And hell, in some parts of the country, your dinner will walk up to your back door and practically beg you to shoot it in the head.

when I was little we only had one car and my father used to use it to go to his job. When we went to the supermarket we used to go in a taxi.
