I think it would be more correct to ask why people support Israel and Zionism.

There's nothing wrong with being Jewish and I doubt if many people have a problem with Jews, per se.
Not all Jews support Zionism or Israel. Many are outspoken in their criticism/opposition.

Those who do support Israel are ignorant of it's sadistic ethnic cleansing (de-Arabization) efforts that have been going on since 1948. Actually, the plans began decades before the founding of Israel.

If the Nazis were trying to rid Europe of Jews through relocation, concentration camps, executions, starvation, disease, and mass slaughter, Zionist colonists are doing the same thing to the indigenous population of Palestine using the same means. Israelis are engaging in a "holocaust" against Palestinians. So who is worse?

If people had any idea of the horrors that Israelis have committed over the past 77 years and continue to commit to far greater degree today, few people would support Israel. They would be just as horrified by the truth as they are over what they have been taught about the Holocaust.

But our media is controlled by Zionists and only tells one side of the story. Tremendous efforts are made to prevent people from learning the facts.

We are told that it's all about anti-Semitism (hatred of Jews), which is funny because Ashkenazi Jews are not Semitic and Palestinians ARE Semitic. In fact, many Palestinians are the descendants of the Biblical Israelites and Judeans, even if some of them converted to Christianity or Islam over the last 2000 years. That has been proven by DNA research.

Somehow, no matter what, Israelis are always portrayed as victims who are only defending themselves. But that has NEVER been the case. That's like a psychopathic, serial criminal who robs and brutally murders his victims claiming that he was owed their property and only killed them in self defense.

Would the Nazis be able to justify the holocaust by saying they were only defending themselves?

Both political parties, not just the Republican party, support Israel. Politicians have either been bought and paid for or blackmailed into kowtowing to Israel.
Our national security institutions have been infiltrated by Zionists.
And there are complex geopolitical reasons why the U. S. supports Israel that have to do with maintaining hegemony over the region and controlling the natural resources.

Regarding your question about Republicans in particular, I think you might be referring to the fact that fundamentalist Christians are a major part of the Republican base.

also a founding principle of the us is freedom of religion and protection from religious persecution (to all religions, not just christianity). the us has a history of tolerance towards jewish people. also america was an ally power in ww2, and jewish people's persecution by nazi germany was a big rhetoric point in driving up anger towards germany. the republican party was tolerant of jews and against their persecution pre ww2, and pro jew and very anti jewish persecution during and post ww2.

the republican party might be the party that very devout christians vote for, but it's not a christian party, especially pre trump. it's technically secular.
