In hindsight, were all of the oppressive measures to slow the curb of covid five years ago really worth it?

Five years ago at this time, we were told to stay home. Don't visit friends and family. Don't protest. Yes, the economy will be devastated. Education will be greatly harmed. But it will save lives. In hindsight, was it all worth it?

Yes, it was worth it. Saving lives is everything.
