Interesting question. I can't really answer this properly because I've only had a few hours of sleep.

But you could make the argument that socio-economics, whether you like it or not, shapes the dynamics of relationships on subconscious levels, and maybe it is a natural and right thing, too. A man just wants to embody his innate masculinity, to be able to provide, own a house, look after his wife, bring up children. That is natural and healthy. But masculinity is under attack through the latest waves of particularly aggressive feminism. Men are innately seen as aggressive, sex-pests, lacking any moral value. Men are being destroyed. And the wider economic landscape is such that men can't even fulfil their basic duties. This is not making society a better place. In fact, it has a chaotic and tragic consequence for both genders. Women, innately too, the ones who haven't swallowed this 'all men are evil' notion, look for these qualities in a man. There is a kind of darwinism to existence. Not completely because we are multi-faceted and arguably multi-dimensional. But the physical and the basic are important, too.

Marxism as I might interpret it, empathy, taking a wider perspective, probably, embodies that sort of divine feminine. Order, responsibility and disicpline embodies a kind of divine masculine. The two are supposed to interact, quell, make up for the worst excesses of each in perfect harmony. Now, in my view, leftism has been the dominant philosophy for far too long. The consequences for society are far too disastrously evident for all to see.

Having similar views is vital for compatibility in a relationship. Otherwise, you're simply tolerating that person while you're in a relationship with them. Differences in views create conflict. The less conflict there is, the more compatibility you have. Does it mean you have to agree on everything? No. But you should at the very least agree on core values and principles.

I would be very deterred by someone who does not have similar views to mine. For example, whenever I see a girl who has "liberal" on her dating profile, I immediately swipe left. I could not be more unattracted to liberals nowadays. And the funny thing is, on the political compass test, I actually got results that lean more to the left than the right. I'm technically more progressive, but girls that say they're liberal these days take it to a disgusting degree

I would say so. As I am not a fan of capitalist holidays and ya know Valatines day is dumb.

I don't disagree with doing a nice thing with your partner on a specific day, but the idea one must buy flowers or has to eat out on this specific date other people tell you to do so is absurd.

And of course I personally go for a relationship should be equal though if not equal at least not a transaction.

Then I think of gifts more as a burden, as you get one then they expect one back. And a lot of the times I think.. Well if you want that and I want this why don't I buy what I want and you buy what you want?

Though I do understand it's nice to get a gift and be susprised. I am not a fool. But it is kinda a doubled edged sword. I don't know.

Like some people are naturally smart and driven so they have an advantage in life financially, so the government needs to control that so all his drive and wealth creation gets spread out to the less fortunate.

And on the sex side of things, some people are beautiful, hot have the work ethic to exercise and eat healthy to stay in great shape, the government needs to force those hot people to have sex with those that are less fortunate, who are ugly, fat and out of shape, or old?
