I thought it was small government and getting rid of waste and abuse and most of all privacy and freedom, but this seems like the opposite. They will have data from Health and human services, the IRS, Social Security Administration and other government departments so this company will know a lot about you.

If you bought their stock before it spiked up is that enough of a win to not care about privacy anymore? :)

You know what "small government" means in practice? It doesn't mean more freedom nor privacy for the little guy. No. It means more "freedom" and "privacy" for big corporations... so they can STEAL YOUR PRIVACY AND FREEDOM AND SELL IT BACK TO YOU.
Any government is necessarily a collection of sh! theads... but generally they're regulated sh! theads. They have to at least pretend they have everyone's best interests in mind, even if they're far too incompetent to ever achieve anything good. The Capitalist overlords though... are mostly unregulated, actively greedy & malicious sh! theads who won't think twice about screwing everyone over and then convince you it was necessary or inevitable all along.
That is what it always comes down to: Would you rather have dangerously incompetent d-bags in charge... or actively evil ones?
Oh... I guess there is the third choice... which is armed insurrection... but that probably leads to a lot of deaths and the d-bags winning anyway.

I don’t trust corporations / non government entities with my personal information.

To allow a willing ‘leak’ to a company with no guardrails, this is scary.

Whenever I voice out and raise awareness, people will go “every company has your data” and my response is, “doesn’t have to be this way, have some sort of accountability that is such a kick in the teeth that corporations don’t mess with our personal information”.

Know your rights and fight for what’s right. Period.

If it was supposed to be at all reasonable then we'd have access to their data too... but funnily enough companies have entire departments dedicated to protecting data they perceive as theirs, annual mandatory training on data protection and regulation, and people get fired on the regular for accidental data leaks... to say nothing of deliberate ones...
Yet these same companies will do everything in their power to steal the data of regular people. Funny how that works.

I remember when Siri was secretly recording and collecting iPhone users for years allegedly without Apple knowing…. They got a slap on the wrist, the reason why these corporate entities don’t stop leaking information or carrying where it is stored in case of cyberattacks is because they don’t face consequences harsh enough. It isn’t right!

I never heard of Palantir and had to go online to see what it was. It is a software company that makes a few AI products that are used by large corporations and the government. I think that it could be used to combat government waste and terrorism. I suspect the people that are detractors are the one's whose budgets will be cut or that their jobs will be eliminated.
