"representative" demcracy is supposed to work like you vote for the person who's gonna best represent your interest as to then vote on your behalf in congress. we all know this. but what does happen? did you ever follow policy decisions and watched who voted for what policy? in most cases, these votes aren't even transparent. only in special cases. and in special cases what you tend to see is that representants decide wildly different thnigs than what they promised the voters they promised to represent. and what system is there in place to keep that from happening? fuck all. that's why i say we don't actually live in a democracy. cause the representants aren't legally bound to actually represent what the people they are representing actually want.
