USA- yes and no. Not all of them. I’m also at an advantage of being a small white blonde woman who dresses well so I don’t look inherently threatening. I would say that the only thing I really fear would be SA, but that stems from past trauma and applies to all men that I do not know.
There are good cops and bad cops. Unfortunately, the bad ones are the ones that receive all the attention and create the overall bad image. There needs to be deeper psychological screening and completely thorough background checks before they’re given a title and weapons. Watch out for the cops who were bullied in school or abused growing up.00 Reply

10 moIn the USA city police in Democrat run cities/counties are usually psychos that harass you for no good reason and abuse their power. In contrast when you are in Republican counties which are often more rural, they are generally very nice and rarely abuse their power, but if you are breaking the law they don't play, they go hard.

10 Reply717 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. There's nothing to fear as I never did anything wrong. My father got police protection before he retired so he knows many seniors. My close friend's uncle is in police. My other close friend's dad is friends with police and his future job will give him police protection. So, I don't see them as a threat.

UK - 3 years in prison for tweets; but sex offenders, including two 'cultural enrichers' who recently got less of a sentence - 2 years, for sexually assaulting a 14 year old girl in her home. The establishment is thoroughly rotten these days. You have to be careful.
00 Reply11.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes, here in the US police can do almost anything they want without fear of retributio thanks to the whole doctrine of qualified immunity. This means that they are not responsible for their bad behavior if it occurs. I stay as far away from the police as I can and if I do have to encounter them I make it a point to be as polite and compliant as possible because I don't want trouble with these people. They can badly injure or literally kill you and there will be no consequences for them.

10 moi don't, but a saner person would. you know they don't test for steroids? the policemen are oddly shaped and have a lot of aggression. it's almost like they're high on cocaine. they will not be held accountable for murdering a civilian or breaking any law. body cams only win settlements, but it doesn't hurt them at all. your settlement is crowdfunded by taxpayers

10 moThailand.
I have nothing to fear. My doings are smart and mostly legal.
My (one only - the other is an idiot) neighbour is a policeman - he -half legally- grows Ganja. He's ok.
Most policemen here are a joke, though.

31 ReplyUSA, somewhat. I'm not ACAB, but I don't trust a random officer I've never met to necessarily act appropriately and in accordance with the law. Too much abuse of power in the system that goes unaddressed.

10 moYes because Indian policemen are well-known criminals. I call them for help and they bark “Do you agree it’s a man’s world?” I mean if it is, you’re really a shit show. Nothing impressive if I’m not even treated like a lady in a man’s world.
