My dad is Medicaid and because he had a stroke and now he's in a nursing home because he can't take care of himself. I wish I earned enough to take care of him but I can't.

This new budget makes Trump responsible for AT LEAST 1/3rd of the entire US national debt and that is being very generous to Trump rather than the actual costs he is probably responsible for. To say that Trump and by extension the Republicans are trying to balance the budget is laughable.

I didn't say they were successful with balancing the budget. I just said that they tried. Plus most of the failures have to do with liberal judges blocking the efforts of DOGE. Though if Republicans were smart they would codified the DOGE cuts in this bill.

What tax cuts for billionaires? If you are talking about the 2017 cuts, they were made permanent with this bill and are therefore a continuation of current tax policy. Nevermind that they were tax cuts across the board; but that doesn't jive with your talking points. However, this time around the cuts in taxes are specifically directed towards working class Americans with a cut on taxes on tips and overtime up to $25,000 for each. That is no joking matter.

This attempt failed you say? From the looks of things there was never even an attempt to balance the budget. Trump very clearly made the deficit even worse when there was no need to such as the tax cut for the rich. Lets face it, he did not attempt to balance the budget during his first term and he has not made any attempts to do so in his 2nd term either. Believing that Trump wants to balance the budget at this point, against everything we know about what he is doing and what he has done historically, is wishful thinking at best.

Trump is CURRENTLY responsible for about 1/3rd of US debt. I personally predict that this number is going to go up by a lot. Who knows, maybe we will see him sitting at 1/2 of US debt by midterms? The idea that he will somehow turn this around, even when he has shown no interest or ability to do so previously is not only unlikely but also mathematically impossible considering how much USA is losing compared to its revenues.

You would have to do some crazy dictatorial wealth confiscation from the rich to even have a fighting chance if you ask me. So yeah.. there is no risk that Trump will balance the budget and I feel confident on stating that as a fact even though Trump has most of his 2nd term to prove me wrong.

The US doesn't have a revenue problem we have a spending problem. And there aren't enough rich people to tax into oblivion in order to fund the government. The only solution is to cut spending and that was the point of DOGE. But because it was the Trump administration everyone on the left had a hissy fit and forced the cuts to be rescinded. Despite the fact that the program was going after waste and fraud and was formed under the Obama administration.

I think the top 1% in USA currently owns about 30% of all the money in the US economy. That is far north of 40 trillion dollars. Current US national debt is 37 trillion dollars. If you want to tax them into oblivion then you won't even have to tax all of the super rich to not only balance the budget but literally eliminate the entire US debt.

As for cutting spending, that is just an excuse that politicians use when destroying things they dont personally like. DOGE has actually cost USA more than it has supposedly saved it, not to mention the loss of various services and other benefits. It has been a complete failure of what it was supposedly meant to do.
