We used to do lots of things in school, but mostly it was to have fun. We actually enjoyed school. Now, everyone hates high school. What has changed it? Not referring to guns here, but the atmosphere of it all.

The culture changed. The morals, overall, of people have degenerated over the last 50 years. People used to come from intact families, TV didn't rule kids lives, they were out playing together, most people went to church and believed in an objective right and wrong.

Now, tons of kids come from broken homes, no fathers to set them straight, they are raised by TV and movies and the culture (nothing but sex and crime and violence) which is basically hedonism. Anything goes and always do what make you happy and feel good. There is no duty to society and being a good citizen, YOU are the most important thing, fuck the world as long as you get yours.

We don't have the same quality of people (overall) that we used to have. People didn't do that because it is evil. Now we produce so many twisted, nihilistic people who hate the world and just want to watch it burn.

The federal department of education is what changed. Yes, I shot rifles in school and bow and arrow. But today they find it too important to teach little boys and girls that they don’t have to be boys and girls. They can be 192 different genders. The Board of Education also determined that test scores are a bad thing cause it makes Black people feel bad for failing. This is not my words. This is coming from the left. They don’t want equality they want equity and the two things differ.

I do not believe that any one thing changed the education system. Parents not spending quality time with their children. Teachers under pressure to move the children along the path. Students spending way too much time on social media. Not being taught responsibility, respect and accountability.
The system as a whole has failed!
It is odd that the more guns that were in the school and the parking lots. You never even heard of an accidental shooting!
Maybe the guns were better educated!

Schools are the most dangerous place to let your child grow up because governments shouldn't decide what they teach your children and what not. That's why this toxic LGBTQ bullshit is spreading right now, they teach things to children which are unacceptable

I hated school I was always bullied and it wasn't a good experience.
My parents told me when I left school I'd always wish I could go back... I have never felt that way.

This is an experience in the UK so I'm not sure how it equates to other countries.

College is a different matter I enjoyed that for the most.

Well, this question is too hard to answer in a single post, but from my vantage point in the US, the vast high-stakes testing has had a lot of downsides, as well as a deficit in positive parental involvement in K-12 education.

What changed is we have a bunch of teachers who are underpaid and overworked and parent that dont regulate there kids. There is no way my child is gonna have a gun in my house and I dont know it. You have to talk to you child it's not always about being a disciplinarin you also have to keep the lines of communication open so they can talk to you especially about the important things
