Should a 21 year old know right from wrong?

I understand the human brain doesn't stop developing until the age of 25, but should a 21 year old know the difference between right from wrong? Like not to abuse animals?

Yes they should definitely know right from wrong by that age. A child would mostly know right from wrong at an early age. They may choose the wrong option out of self gratification that young kids struggle with, but they know they could get in trouble for doing it.

Abuse of animals though is a different story. That's the sign of a psychopath. They need mental health treatments.

yes, but people can be selfish for a long long time, stuck in their ways... or even become more evil. It doesn't take much to corrupt a human. worldly power is a thing... emotional control is real. Having the internal strength to see what is right and stick to it in the face of everything... that requires strength and a heart.

Ummmm... duh! A 12 year should have that figured out. A 21 year old abusing animals may be a psychopath / serial killer in the making. That may be a mis-wired brain rather than a brain that is still developing.

Yes. Granted serial killers got their start with animal torture which lead to the animal’s death. So, you may want to take caution around this individual.
