It's illegal not to pay taxes, period. And there are consequences if you don't. That said, let's not pretend that the relatively small budget cuts to Democratic Party propaganda organs means that the Democrats aren't getting most of what they want from the federal budget.

And if he's dumb enough to try to run in 2028, Gavin Newsom will be reminded that his illegal calls to withhold taxes would have meant a lot more Democratic Party priorities being left unfunded.
