The major issues that have our country in a downward spiral are; 1. The extreme pay gap from top to bottom. Wages should be enhanced by the employers profit and growth. No CEO should be making millions while the people who do the actual job are barely surviving. This is a serious problem that can be fixed by regulating the businesses wage scale. The American dream is so far out of reach for the younger generation. Many don't earn enough to leave their parents home. China has regulated the capitalism market for several years now so that they don't follow the same disastrous path as the U>S> Pay=out to shareholders needs to be disbersed after wages are raised. There was a time not too long ago where a man would work a normal 5 day work week and mom stayed home and took care of the household. This family had enough money to own a nice home, drive a new car, they took family vacations and put their kids through college. Plus they still saved money. You might as well forget that noise these days. 2. Healthcare for all. The entire program can be funded by billionaires paying a much higher tax rate. It is a priviledge to have become so wealthy in the U. S. It should be an honor to be in this higher tax bracket. It is far less expensive and helps our economy greatly when Americans have heathcare. 3. Voter rights and transparency in our elections. Votes can not be manipulated by making it harder to vote. Election day should be a paid federal holiday. Gerrymandering voters districts should be unlawful. Congress must have term limits ! Mega money donors must be closely monitored and limits set. You shouldn't have to be rich to run for office. The voters convienience should be equal at every polling place. America is so rich compared to almost every single nation, yet unlike every other modern country we are not provided free healthcare. More money needs to be spent on education. we are well behind everyone else. Other countries serve great food to their students. We need to give kids a better advantage.

The "no gift" policy for government employees would be reinstated , or maybe it just needs to be re explained, government officials aren't allowed to accept gifts from government contractors, no matter what rhetoric (no strings gift for example) is attached to the term.
In the future all presidential hopefully will be required to pass a constitutional exam,2 parts , written and oral, the results to be posted very publicly throughout the land.

What would you do about homelessness? In Seattle a large number of the unsheltered homeless are addicts or have serious mental illness. Most refuse shelter when it is offered.
