Don’t get me wrong, i have a well-paying job and expect to need a man for financial support. But what happened to them actually being proud? I see some comments on here like wah wah wah i can’t support a household on one income. Like shouldn’t that kind of talk be embarrassing?

Traditional marriages relied on society barring women from seeking any form of independence (ie women were not allowed to have a bank account in only their name until the 1960’s, nor have credit cards in solely their name until the 1970’s). Now that they can, they’re re-evaluating their lives because they finally have power, which means choosing men who are better than mediocre. And as the mediocre are the majority of men, they’re mad and angry that women aren’t choosing them, blaming women for not choosing them and continuing to say women are the issue and they’re not worth their time and whatever all in the name of protecting insanely fragile egos.
