How many years did it take you to definitively decide who you are?

28 years I thought. Now, just days later, it’s starting to feel like I’m right back to uncertainty. Hopefully before I’m called from this world I’ll figure it out.

After I went through my divorce… lots of self reflection and grow and learned a lot. So proud around 40…by then I learned the little power I have at the same time, what I can do with the little power I have. Every decision I made, I am the only one accountable for.
that give me more reasons to know that I am very very little in this world and nothing really matters… at the end, it’s me that matters.
then me? Take care of my self, my 2 kids I share with hubby and now my second hubby…. The responsibilities and love towards them are all in my hands most of the time.
I just shared with my teen kids yesterday that as they get older, my guidance will become less and they will become more independent.
As for me, I feel even more certain as I get older as to who I am… which it doesn’t stop change …

we must continue to grow and learn with our society at the same time… be good to yourself and your loved ones.

Fun fact-you change slightly every decade so it's kind of pointless to think you will ever really know who you truly are completely. When you're 38, you won't be totally the same person you were at 28. You will continue to evolve. So I see it as we are works in progress that will continue to change and grow.

I always knew. I never had a problem with this. I DID have a problem about knowing myself though... that sort of knowledge only comes with decades of life in which you get the experience to realize what you like, what you don't, what you can do, what you can't do, what you'll accept, and what you won't (and all of these change over time), but also get the maturity to recognize these things and act accordingly.

People have been telling me im gay for 30 years now. Mostly by using slurs but still. Im still unsure because I fantasize and watch women for sexual gratification. But I could be lying to myself as I've been consuming porn since 12 or 13
