That's 40yo Bernie Sanders in 1981, shortly after he won his first election, mayor of Burlington Vermont, showing its citizens he's going to clean things up. He was the city's first Independent mayor, and served for 8 years before being elected as a Congressman from Vermont in 1990, and then as a Senator in 2006.
