If their were no different genders or sexes, how would society look different?

Obviously "sexism" would be impossible, but would certain traits we associate with the different genders still be discriminated against? For example, would people who are more timid or gentle still be hired less and not paid as much as those who are more assertive and loud?

And with marriage and families, would the stereotypical hetero marriage dynamic carry over, even though nobody would actually be heretro or opposite genders in the first place? For example, would a certain one of the parents still be expected to be the one to carry the child every time, and the other one still be expected to keep working on their career the whole time? Or would it be the norm for the parents to take turns who does which part for however many kids they want to have?

Interesting hypothetical. What do you think would be different? What would be the same?

It seems that you don’t understand what sex means. It’s short for sexual reproduction, which demands two parents contribute to the DNA of offspring.
Organisms that reproduce asexually don’t “parent” at all. Why would you have another entity in your space that is literally only going to compete with you for resources? Parents cooperate because of the benefits to their progeny. It’s not an intrinsic necessity to reproduction, let alone survival.
We are social creatures because we evolved from animals that benefited from cooperation. Not because it was an interesting idea. Ell oh ell!
There are notable species that reproduce sexually but still do not parent. Sharks and other fish are examples. Some species parent, but definitely do not coparent. Spiders and other arachnids, for example. Their parenting is also very limited by comparison to mammals. Some animals and most predatory insects won’t hesitate to kill and/or eat their own offspring if they cross paths after the initial dependence is broken. Bears and tigers come to mind.
If you pretend that we aren’t the result of eons of evolutionary biology and imagine that people could be sexless but still cooperate similarly to how we do now, “sexism” would definitely not be “impossible”. What a lot of people, particularly women, refer to contemporarily as sexism is actually the result of women’s liberation: women failing to compete with men in traditionally male roles and spaces. There is a great deal of absolutely brutal competition in lesser species. Not getting a raise because your male coworker outworked you doesn’t even rank. Ell oh ell! Female bears and tigers don’t typically fair well against males when competing for resources. If it makes you feel any better, male spiders are often killed and eaten by females, before, during and after mating. That’s just how they evolved. We evolved differently.
That understanding makes much of the premise in this question relatively absurd.

There was an episode when I was a kid that “answered” this.

Everyone looked exactly the same, minus personality lying inside of them.

Those that had an inflated ego always came up with concepts to control and project how ‘perfect’ they are compared to others. It isn’t exactly on gender or race or religion or whatever, there will be people always there to inflate themselves over the “weak”.

I believe there would be a ‘strong man’ or some leader or idealist who pushes inferiority and pushing societal norms onto people.
Yes we all look the same, though we don’t all feel the same or process our surroundings the same or share the same personality traits. Therefore the failed flawed parts of the human experience would still continue at some capacity.

Not having different sexes wouldn't mean that we reproduce asexually. It just means that anyone could do either part of the reproduction process, because there is no other sex to need for it. I didn't mean that we would all be clones of one parent, lol.
