Asia is a huge land mass that basically produce everything in the world. Asian countries like China, Taiwan build the parts of all tech effectively. China and india are expected to undergo exponential economic growth and have huge populations.

I personally don’t see how European and American countries can compete long term.

I don't agree wrt to China but I do broadly agree wrt India.

China is set for a nosedive with it's demographics but India has healthy demographics. China's economic models is pretty fucked too and India could well learn from that.

Currently China seems more powerful than India but then Pakistan didn't do so well with their Chinese military equipment so the Chinese military equipment might be junk in Chinese hands also.

India has been non-aligned for a long time and basically joins everything but there are inherent reasons for conflict. Has India forgotten the Chinese attacked Indian troops on the Line of Control in the depths of covid?

Is India entirely happy with China diverting vast quantities of water that otherwise flow into India. Is India happy with China occupying historical Kashmir and support for Pakistan?

Is China unaware that India has unsinkable aircraft carriers right by the Malacca straits?

There are lots of reasons for Indian and Chinese conflict. As India rises and China sinks there would seem to need to be some adjustments made.

India is a lot more in the club than China. After all you play cricket! So you have to be on good terms with UK and Australia :)

This is exactly why people need to get on board with Drumpf’s plans to strengthen the US economy. The filthy capitalist pigs do not need to acquiesce to American standards anymore. There is more cheap labor in Asia and a growing market as well. We quite simply CANNOT “compete” with them in any way. If we don’t want to be turned into a third world economy so that fatcats can maintain their infinite profit growth, the US has to return to making everything we need right here and consider global trade a luxury rather than a necessity.

Maybe India could be in terms of military, but in terms of life satisfaction and technology, it’s unlikely to reach European standards.

As for China, compared to Europe and America, its population is dynamic and young. Since 2015, they’ve made an incredible revolution in technology. They’ve already taken over the European market with cheap and high quality tech products. If Europe, especially countries like Germany, doesn’t return to its old disciplined and productive model, it won’t be possible for them to compete economically. If China continues this way, it’s likely they will take the number one spot in GDP in the coming years. However, due to their population, life satisfaction may not be like in America or Europe, but they will still rank number one in GDP.

In conclusion, the balance of power is shifting toward the East. They will become a superpower, though their standard of living may hardly match the West.

I think life satisfaction in India could beat the west, there’s some parts of India that are like paradise and remind me of Dubai. Technology wise I’m not sure, but so many Indians work in tech this and that. GDP grows a solid rate each year and with a 1.5billion population, well do the maths.

In my industry in many ways india is doing better than us, offering cheaper service for the same quality with the right people.

China is a shooting star like Japan was. They are committing demographic and economic suicide. They are trying to create a war setting before the flame burns out. In history, the superpowers were most often smaller countries: England, Spain, Portugal, Mongolia, even ancient Rome and Greece. The US is today's superpower with a total population of only 20% of India or China.

There are things other than population that make a country a superpower, access to natural resources is a big one.
