I went to the proud boys website (yes I was surprised they have one too) they seem to have devolved into some kinda crypto scam, and have a chicken as a logo. Honestly it just seems to be an almost dead larp with a few sites publishing click bait about them.

His own people don't have as many hoops to jump through. You use federal agencies or military and they are tied up in US laws. It makes sense from his perspective. It's losing in courts left and right however.

The feds don't care about the law, they do what ever they want. It's just a matter of how much the feds wan to do something. Sometimes it's to much of a hassle, so they just drop it. I don't see anything about Trump creating a private army. The most I see is some maga nutjobs showing up at protests.
