Question for the British. Have there been many flags put up in your area?

There's been a lot of stories in the press recently about illegal flags being flown off lampposts and the such. We've all seen the pictures of street festooned by St George's crosses and Union Jack's.

Over half of the Union Jack's are put up the wrong way roun, which tells you a lot about the intelligence of the far right. See photo.

One of the differences between the 4 British countries is England has never widely displayed its flag whereas elsewhere you'll see flags flying everywhere.

However, that's not stopped people erecting a few more. But not in great numbers. I've seen a few by the roadside, including one with "cymru i pawb" ( Wales for everyone) on it.

The picture of the bridge is quite amusing.

So how's it been where you live?

Nope. People here identify as Cornish rather than English or British, and are very proud of it, so you'll see the cross of St Piran absolutely everywhere, but no British flags, and certainly no English flags - you're far more likely to see a Ukrainian or Palestinian flag than either of those. No a country in the world can hold a flag... Pun intended to the US flag. There are credible estimates that there are 150 million flags sold annually in the US. That's 1 flag for nearly every 2 people here. Every year. So no I don't think the union Jack is too prevalent I grew up in America.

Nope. I haven't seen any!! But I did hear a work colleague mention some. So they are about I guess. Just not on my usual routes 🤷‍♀️ or maybe I'm just not paying attention.

More than there were but I already live in a place that has a few naturally. I'm left but I do agree with getting rid of all these immigrants and that it's silly they're policing flags. Cops won't arrest criminals, or they'll let more out of prison but ya know the flags are the issue clearly...
