What is wrong with someone that they get into their heads that murder is the answer?

when you kill someone you take something away permanently that can never be replaced. It’s not like some other crime which is recoverable from. There has to to be a certain evil in that person. I can’t understand it.

If you subscribed exclusively to propaganda that dehumanizes certain people, it’s only a matter of time before you are capable of at least one attempt at murder. We’re not really wired to kill each other. That’s at the heart of PTSD being so prevalent in veterans of active war zones. And we DO more or less brainwash them to be able to kill complete strangers without stopping to think about it.
A minority of people want to ban capital punishment entirely. That means that the majority of people have already found justification for killing, no brainwashing required. Now convince them that someone is guilty of whatever justification they landed on and tell them nobody else is going to kill the “bad guys”. Now you have a soldier ready to fight for their “country”. Ell oh ell!

You can be convinced that someone deserves to die quite easily. Whether or not you can repeat the attempt, relative to how successful you were and the means you used, becomes a reflection of how messed up your head is. This is why remote killing has grown in popularity. Bombs, missiles, IEDs, you never have to see your victims up close, and someone told you that they were bad. It’s no different than a video game at that point. They’re “targets”, not people.
Well, the mainstream media is in the brainwashing game now. With a 24-hour news cycle and zero oversight, they can tell everyone that the bad guys live right next door, a dozen times a day. Every single day until the tumblers finally fall in line. Most people who kill someone up close will never do it again. The rest are being recruited.

You dehumanize them. Military used to have circle targets and had to change to human silhouettes so people in combat could pull the trigger.

Even the common public speaking trick where you see the audience in there underwear is a small extension of dehumanize them. They are not meaningful people with common sense that have power over myself.

If we respect being an empathetic person is hard to do with active effort worth praising. Dehumanizing is an easy vice for people to get stuck in a loop in.

I think inciting murder is worse. To murder someone it takes someone with mental health issues. To incite murder is willful and knowing manipulation.

can't you understand it? How about the people who went to fight in WW2? Could you consider them having a justification or reason for their actions? If not WW2 then what about the American war for independence?

Finding reasons or personal resolves for committing murder is not particularly rare in human history and history also shows that most people, given the right circumstances would readily do it themselves.
