Just because boys turn 18, it doesn't mean they are less prone to abuse than girls are. 18 year old boys are naive, stupid, vulnerable, lack experience, they can easily taken advantage of by some old woman or man or be coerced and manipulated.

Sure, they are not as weak as girls physically, but they need same protection.

This is true though. When a young (legal age) 18 - 19 year old woman gets taken advantage by older man she’s almost always considered an “innocent girl”. But there is far less sympathy for young men (18-19).

Maybe the young man’s mother would be upset / protective if her young 18 - 19 man was manipulated. But almost everybody else could care less. Not so with 18 - 19 year old women though. They get a ton more sympathy if they’re naive.

But honestly I rather have both young men and women both be better raised, educated and prepared to handle the real world vs spreading excessive empathy on everyone. Reason being is some people need some real hard lessons in life (fair or not) so they grow a thicker skin and better judgment as they get older.

And you are an adult at 18. Not a child. In most (if not all) countries you could be drafted into a war. You can make other aduit decision too.

And yes, I would go mad for my son and teach the older person a lesson. I am not the only one, and lot of mom's and even dads would be unhappy about it

I think if anything, younger men from 18 to their early 20's need more protection. They are naive and society can be brutal on them. It's hard being a young female, yes, but the way men poke fun of each other, beat each other up, mess with each other and insult each other is a shame. They can't cry or else they'll be called sissies, and other young men can be very cruel to them. Life is hard, particularly for them.

Yes they do. With current trends among socially active young people, there are some older women seemingly unaware the relationships with immature boys are creating young men who will expect ltr to be devoid of romantic and committed behaviours toward partners. This will just pass on to younger women in future becoming disappointed or feel these men have not grown up.

A man wants to be a king of his own castle so we do isolate ourselves too much. Being apart of a larger community and finding opportunities to step up and becoming leaders and step away from the idea of being isolated king is important.
