So many shows and movies end when the characters get married. They might do a time skip forward to show a pregnancy or a baby. However, a lot of movies skip the struggle of being pregnant and giving birth while taking care of the bills, other kids, and the husband. The post pains and risk to the woman's life. If they do show it, it's a woman screaming, as if she's being too loud or they make the pain a joke. Then, the birth is portrayed incorrectly. In the old movies and new movies they're telling women to go back to a man who treated you wrong, go back and get yelled at, a real woman stands next to her man even if hers life's in danger, it's ok for men to cheat if the tension is too high, it's normal for a man double your age to want you, it okay for a man to pretend to be someone else as long as he tells you later, and many more red flags. Social media, however, is unveiling the curtain, and more women are seeing that it's all fake and dangerous. If they want to have a happy ending, it's more work and sacrifice to put in with a stranger vs. someone you knew from schooling. Women seem like they're being more cautious about making themselves available for courting, and men seem like they're interested in the present.
Both genders are getting mad that they can't find their ideal type, but it seems like the men are turning more violent when they're rejected.

It's probably that but beyond that it's just the end result of the big human brain. It's the only species that thinks at that level. Exactly the kind of thoughts you're expressing here. I have them the same thoughts. I think it's time we found a better means of reproduction such as by machines. I also think it's time we built a better human being. We are right on the cusp of possessing the technology to free ourselves from this crude means of breeding. We can free ourselves form sexuality all together at some point. Remember what it was like when we were children? We had none of these problems then. We were free to learn to play to explore the world. Puberty took that away from us and harnessed us like donkeys to the brute labor of reproduction. To these tedious relationships that never really work out. It disgusts me, I see it as a miserable fact of life.

No. Marriage and household formation is declining because housing is unaffordable for many. It's hard to create a new partnership when one is still living with the parents. Birth rates are declining because almost all the work falls to the mother, and they are saying "no".

the decline in marriage is kids seeing their parents go through ugly divorces, growing to see themselves rejected for factors outside their control and seeing whom the other gender finds attractive i. e. IG models or serial murderers like Luigi Mangione
