It was like that even in before the sexual Revolution of the 70's.

People took marriage seriously so they vetted candidates carefully and had long engagements. It's with the advent of digital era that marriage lost value and became cheap, especially with all the gossip magazines of celebrities getting married and divorced all the time.

I doubt it. No man ever looked to anything like that in order to determine whether or not it made sense to get married to whomever they happen to be with.

@someone That's odd that you interpret it that way, who said anything about serious instructions. Also you do realize that marriage education is a multi million dollar industry so are you making the claim that women who get information regarding marriage are low value?
