Then they brag about being the richest country in the world. Pathetic.

A million homeless tents in the roads. Why do news companies always record and shoot them instead of helping them?

In my country, we have a terrible economy and there are no homeless people in the streets. Government and compassionate society would never allow this here. And if you are unemployed or even mentally ill, you can live with your parents.

That's why this karma and universe will punish the US government someday which spends a trillion dollars on the military and wars per year but can not feed the starving homeless poor people.

Maybe you should write the President and tell him how to do it!
So far, most of the homeless and tent dwellers are illegal aliens! How many of those do YOU have? At the moment, we're working quite hard to get shed of those lowlifes!!
Then, there's another bunch of "homeless" that are just pretending to be!! One had about 6 kittens with her as she sat on the sidewalk begging money using the cats as a sympathy ploy. Where the fuck is she getting the money to feed and house those kittens if she is homeless? I went to her one day with a bag of doughnuts and offered them to her thinking she might be starving and would like to eat some. She refused.
Another one I saw get on a bus from a fairly rich area of town to go into Downtown to bum money from people! Apparently, bumming money in his location isn't good enough for him so, he buys a $35.00 bus pass to be able to go into town! One day, I saw him in town bumming money so, I offered him some doughnuts and HE refused them, too!! How hungry can these people be?
Another guy would stand at the door of the 7-11 where I worked and hold the door open for people expecting a quarter for each time he did it! He was in his 20's, had an expensive haircut, $100 sneakers and was dressed better than me AND had a 12-speed bike!! How does he afford all this expensive shit bumming quarters?
Then, there's these wandering bands of beggars dressed in brown or grey ragged clothes and EVERY FUCKING ONE OF THEM has a DOG in tow!!! HOW can they afford to keep and feed a dog when they, SUPPOSEDLY can't feed themselves?
Do you have any of THAT in your country?

There is not a homeless problem as far as I'm concerned. The vast majority of homeless people are homeless because of their own actions and choices. It's mostly their own choices that made them homeless in the first place. It's their own choices to not utilize the vast number of services available to them. You can not force people to do whatever you think is right for them.

Contrary to what you might think by watching the news, the homeless aren't everywhere. Sure, I see panhandlers every now and then, who may or may not be homeless. I could drive around for a half hour and maybe see 3-4 panhandlers in a city of a million. Or I might see none at all, which is far more common. But if I wanted to find a bunch of homeless living in tents like is plastered all over the news, I don't know if I could find one, not even in a city I've lived in most of my life. If such a thing exists in my city, I've never seen it and never heard about it.

What's dumb isn't that the US doesn't spend enough on the "poor". What's dumb is that they spend too much. The US is the biggest welfare state in the world. The policies encourage people to become dependent, which in essence creates more "poor". I put "poor" in quotes because extremely few people defined as poor are actually poor. The definition of poor is absurd.

The US and americans don’t really care about its citizens and fellow people. It’s all about profit and ”me, me, me”. When asked if they want universal healthcare they say no because they don’t want to pay for other peoples healthcare. When told that universal healthcare would be cheaper for them personally than paying their (very expensive) health insurance they still say no, I don’t care. They’d rather pay much more every month as long as that means other people can’t also benefit (by getting healthcare…) from tax money.

It's because they're a visual reminder of where you could end up if you don't work hard enough and obey your paymaster. You already have millions living paycheck to paycheck, knowing any slip up could see them out of work and on the streets. Walking past that homeless guy is great motivation to shut up, do your job, and be grateful for your pennies.

construction work is seen as uneducated labor so no one wants to build anymore

citizens are competing with illegals for the short supply of homes

families and marriages are breaking up thus needing more homes for the split spouse

childless millionaires and billionaires buy homes they don't need

democracy and economics won't fix this. the issue of homelessness is a cultural issue and requires a monoculture to fix it

Well let’s start off with the Biden administration allowing 10-20 million illegals into the country. I’m not sure what country you are from but I doubt I’d you had 10 million people into your country in a short amount of time you too wouldn’t have homes for them all.

Same goes England it's because our countries prefer to waste money anywhere else. Reality is if the government actually wanted to solve it, it would be solved mostly. There would still be a few outliers but most would have a flat to live in. Except whenever a new build is made it always prioritizes those who can afford it than homeless.

There are plenty of programs for homeless people. There are shelters, training programs and counseling. However, in America people have to be responsible for themselves. Many homeless people have substance abuse issues and just do not want to change.
