Trump's monetary and economic policy leans socialist. Government investment in publicly traded corporations, telling chip makers who they can and can't sell to, charging businesses an export tax to sell to certain countries, forcing foreign companies to pay a percentage of revenue over and above what they owe in tax just so they can build a factory in the US is closer China's policies than the US of yesteryear. The days of free market capitalism in the US seem to be coming to an end.

Actively trying to take away the Fed's independence is the same as trying to end the free market. His economic policy is basically copy and paste from China's.

Well, considering he has his nose up the ass of free market billionaires he doesn't seem to be trying to take much away from them.

Not all of them, only a select few because he's picking winners and losers. That's not the free market. And neither is dictating who businesses can sell to or extorting payments so they can sell to China. Follow the money. Money loves capitalism and it is leaving the US.
