Given how attacking Trump 2.0’s policies has made him historically unpopular, why the resistance focus on less attacking Trump 1.0’s policies?

During Trump 1.0, much of the criticism centered around less effective things like Russian interference in elections or the pee-pee tape. Little attention was given to how Trump broke the Emoluments Clause by having Saudi Arabia book hotels but never stayed in them in exchange for favorable policies, right before Jamal Kahshogi was killed.

Trump 1.0’s approval rating stayed relatively stable. Now they are in a free fall. Which begs the question, why was the resistance so unwilling and/or unable to attack Trump’s policies during his first term?

Because we’re exhausted by the pace, and size of his ‘criminality wake’…? …I guess it’s all about competing priorities, or level of severity? Plus the 2.0 stuff seems so much worse and is more front of mind, than trying to rehash 1.0.
I mean technically he had a ton of legit charges for legit crimes (stealing classified docs, stirring up an insurrection, etc.) that all kind of evaporated once America’s morons signed us up for a second helping of incompetence. … plus this 2.0 seems to be a lot, and coming at us really fast, and is really felt by the country. Before people knew he was a dumbass ham-handed fool, but it didn’t so much directly affect most Americans, not until kids in cages, and say Covid came around.
With 2.0 — it’s trying to deport brown people from Home Depot to El Salvador,, masked ICE agents running around, starving kids in Africa, staving kids here plus women and infants and poor people, ruining the economy, stupid tariffs, ruining farmers ability to sell products, fighting with Canada, rising prices, bulldozing the White House…… etc, etc, etc. — It’s just all his bad and worse impulses unleashed.

Democrats are barely any better than Republicans. They are timid and they took a loooong time to realize they were no longer engaging with Conservatives from the 1980's but Fascists from the 1930's and 40's.

And let's face the truth here both political parties in our 2 party system have sold out to wealth and power. They have been bought with dark money and they are the property of the 1%. Look at every law passed in Congress for the last 40 years. All of it benefitted the 1%. None of it has benefitted the middle class or poor.

That was one election in historically unique circumstances where Democrats finally grew a set of balls and showed up. But it took undisguised Fascism and destruction of the economy and Democracy to get them off their asses. No, I'm not gonna applaud for that. Too little too late.

It's funny, Trump is President, Republicans control the House and the Senate, the Supreme Court leans conservative, the Military has been purged of woke socialist ideology, ANTIFA has been designated a terrorist organization, your illegal alien army are being arrested and deported, most states are controlled by a Republican Governor, most state legislatures are controlled by Republicans, and you some how think you are gaining influence with your shit propaganda that landed you in this position... Trump is still a very popular president to everyone but rabid democrats and illegal aliens. A poll last week about if the presidential election was held tomorrow would Republicans or Democrats win. The Republicans won by a comfortable margin.
It is the fake news that keeps reporting this. Ask anybody who has a job, pays taxes and drives a car who they like.
