How do you mean? It's not a completely level playing field if that's what you're asking. No I don't think capitalism is a scam. But if you think you're going to invest 15% of your income, work 40 years, and then retire comfortably then you're being scammed.😂 I hate to steal a line from Bernie Sanders because I do not support him in ANY way. But, "it is a rigged system". Designed to keep you working till you are of no physical use to society anymore. And the dream of retirement is to keep you satisfied to get optimum labor out of you. You don't really figure out till the final 10 years or so of your work life. That you'll never retire comfortable. If you can retire completely even you're doing better than most. But without Capitalism there would not be sufficient drive from the unwashed masses to provide the few at the top with their wealth. Sounds like a scam doesn't it? Nope. Because most Capitalistic countries will be richer overall than most socialists and communities countries because Capitalism unlocks the workers potential far better than any other system.
Capitalism in and of itself is not a scam. It's a legitimate way to approach an economic system for a society. BUT... Capitalism also has some very serious flaws that require regulatory oversight and policing that can only come from a strong central government.
Capitalism as it is currently implemented in the USA is an extremist wet dream of Oligarchs who have bought the government and corrupted the laws and the courts to steal the wealth of the nation from 99% of the population. The USA needs a serious overhaul of Capitalism. I'm talking guillotines and prisons.
It’s not a scam, but it’s also not fair by default.
Capitalism works well at creating innovation and opportunity, but it also naturally concentrates power and money unless there are guardrails.
When people say it feels like a scam, they’re usually reacting to the parts where the rich get richer, wages stay flat, and the system feels rigged toward those who start ahead.
In reality, capitalism is a tool, it can work well, or it can work badly.
It depends on how it’s regulated, who it benefits, and whether ordinary people actually get a fair shot.

Not necessarily. It depends on the guardrails in place against the predatory forms of capitalism oppressing and exploiting the large majority of people. I'm quite content with our German form of social market economy.
Give me a number of how many socialist billionaires, you know or communist billionaires you know yeah there’s a few at the very very top. But capitalism has made the most billionaires and out of any system.
No it's a great system that needs firm guidance & control
Capitalism has brought the most wealth to the most people in the history of humanity.
Capitalism is why the poorest of the poor in western nations live a more luxurious life than medieval kings did.
It’s good. Just that we don’t have effective people running the show
Of course it's a scam. Did you think it was somehow fair and beneficial to people?
It’s a pyramid scheme
Long story short, yes.
no but there are scams within capitalism.
