If I want to live in a country in the future, I still haven't decided which country it should be. The world is so corrupted, I don't even have any hope for the world.
2.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. A good place to live in... but for what?
The what is important. Not so long ago I listened to a podcast of a woman who lived in a remote area of the outback. She was quite realistic that she would not live as long but she liked where and how she lived and was happy to have a shorter life as the trade off.
I decided to live in inner city for the cafes and vibrancy but hardly do so and only go to one cafe know because I like being part of that community.
The what you live for can change. So I would say a country that has a lot variety in what to live for..

6 moI have lived in several different countries I’m more self sufficient kind of lifestyle so I’m pretty bias just a FYI.
The country doesn’t matter as much as the community…
Canada is great outside of places like Ottawa
Midwest of the United States has really good people and a decent living vs cost of living “your money goes the further in the Midwest”
Japan is very pleasant but be ready to work for it. Mainland is completely different from the rest of Japan so is Fuji.
Also if you will be able to assimilate with that community. For example India
The south is heavily affected by industrial growth while the further north you start to see more farmers vagabonds type of people this may have changed in the last decade so don’t quote me on it.
Don’t start with a country start with the kind of neighbors you want the country will start to seam less important.10 Reply

6 moI've never been outside of America or even my home state so I can't really compare it to anywhere else but I really like the area I am in. It is very rural and if I didn't watch the news I wouldn't know anything bad is really happening since I just don't see it here.

It is really what you make it of most any area, but choose an area with decent people.
20 Reply 12.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I spend a few months a year in three different countries.
My native UK, Turkey, and Dubai. With holidays in Cyprus and the Middle East on occasion.
You don't just decide where to live, you have to have the funds and means to live there first.
My guess is that you will be living in a cardboard box at the end of your street, unless you buck up your ideas.
20 Reply2.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Western European countries were good about 30 years ago.
Now, hmm. That's difficult to say. in my opinion, the suburban areas and villages are still good places to live in the UK. If you can afford the house prices. Stay away from the 'culturally enriched' towns and cities.
10 ReplyI can only speak from personal experience. Spain is a pretty nice place to live, as long as you avoid certain conflictive areas in large cities at night. I guess that's not any different from mayor cities in any other part of the world.
